The Beginning

When I was just 12 years old, I remember seeing a friend get a brand new car at 16 made me feel. Naively, I asked my father what he'd get me when I turned 16. His response changed everything. He said he wasn't buying me anything and that if I wanted something of my own, I had to find a way to earn it. So, I turned to mowing lawns in our neighborhood.

Little did I know, what started as a teenage side hustle, would plant the seeds of a future.

Eventually, my father, retired and seeking something to fill his time, joined me. As I moved through high school, college, and a baseball career, he continued tending to properties part-time. It wasn't until 2009, upon my return, that we formalized our partnership. With a part-time worker, we began operating from our house.

From those humble beginnings, we transitioned to a small shop in another construction company, quickly realizing our capacity was outgrowing the space. That's when we secured our initial five acres in Statesville, a fraction of what is now our sprawling 17-acre headquarters.

Our expansion didn't stop there. In a bold move three years ago, we established an office in Charlotte without any direct employees. Today, that office thrives with a team of 35 dedicated individuals, a testament to our growth and dedication to quality service.

Throughout this journey, our objectives have evolved, but our core values remain unchanged. Every day, our aim is to deliver unparalleled customer service and remarkable landscaping. We empower our clients with horticultural knowledge, foster creativity through our training programs, and approach projects with innovative thinking, all fueled by our unwavering passion for our customers.

At Tim Johnson Landscaping, Inc., our story isn't just about landscapes; it's about transforming dreams into realities, one exceptional project at a time.
